- NWA's "Straight Outta Compton" is played when the Crazy Eights go to confront Momstabba and his gang. The title was the influence for Straight Outta Stoolbend.
- Momstabba reads Eat, Pray, Love: One Woman's Search for Everything Across Italy, India and Indonesia, a 2006 memoir by Elizabeth Gilbert.
